周庄's known as the venice of the east.

just that it aint as atas as venice bah.

hahaha. and yes. we had parrowtech cup badminton + table tennis .james reigning as table tennis champion and tmd. timmieboy's damn pro at badmintion.i got thrashed :((.

muahahha. this is how we started off to 周庄. muahaha. photowhoring like who we always do in the van. ooo. its actually some 黑车。not coz the van's black. but its some illegal cabbie driver kinda thingy. paid that guy some price. den he took us to 周庄 instead of us trying to catch the public coach ( not public bus. public coach ) at a cheaper price. huat ah!

wooohooo!周庄finally!and we are such serious cam whores. tmd. we haven even stepped into that place and we're already photowhoring. and guess what. its the carpark nia. -_-. wah lan eh.

woohoo!水啊！！we're finally at this AAAAA tourism spot as graded by the china authorities.muahaha.water water and more water.i seriously wonder how come platypussy never jump into the water. he loves the pool too much lah.haha. must be too cold lahhh. muahahha. really nice river cutting through the village. villagers travel everywhere by boats in the past but now the boats are for tourists lah. 10 rmb per head for a boatie trip around the village. top up another 10 per boat and u can hear the ah tiong sing. hahaha. quite interesting. but i wud rather spend the money on pig trotters. hahahaha :)).

wahahhaha. guess who we found here! felicia chin!!hahaaha. its amazing how ah tiongs can recognise singaporean artistes given the limited exposure they have to MIS movies. (made in singapore). my colleagues were all crazy over fann wong and phyllis quek btw. and they think the high cheek bone is damn pretty. which i seriously so do not think so.fann wong cant sing and phyllis cant speak proper chinese!.and oooo. picture of the collage. king amos acting cool. hahahaha. i really so enjoy trips with amos around..:))).not because he's always funny here and there but i feel he has a wonderful character. someone with no 机心 at all. and i really appreciate that in this current world. sigh.

and did i say what 周庄's known for?!?!?! ahahhaha. pig trotters! 猪脚！猪蹄！whatever u call that. uber sinful with the freak thick layer of fats. but damn. it tasted damn well. and poof. 58 bucks. 6 dudes. gone in 60 seconds. haha.and just a lil secret. i was so tempted to buy another and eat by my own. wah lan eh.

same place. 4 dudes. add water. add camera. add nice scenery. add a little humour. you get posers like us. ( actually i think im the only poser ) hahahaah.

as everyone went churching.
(and like what timmie boy says when i tell her im more or less left alone on sundays. " go church with them lah " . i wud so much prefer to spend my time exploring shanghai on my own. )
zyy decides to visit this old old old old town of shanghai.
pple always say.
if u want to revisit and know what shanghai was like years back.
visit this 七宝老街.

jumpers! hahaha. amos attempted a jumper photo with us in a small alley. i like such jumping photos! hahaha . makes something dull livelier. :)))

WTF!!! that must be the first thing on ur mind when u see that. yess. thats what struck me too. and thats what made me throw 5rmb outta my wallet to buy this ticket.

yes. this ticket. a visit to the believe it or not exhibition. hahahaha. 8 legged pig. its seriously wtf lah.. they have all sorta promotional posters arnd. 8 legged pigs. 2 headed snakes. rocks that grow hair. funny looking turtles.hahah. i just had to take a look. huat ah!

oooooo. they call this the maple leaf turtle or rather 枫叶龟. haha. looks like a big frigging piece of maple leaf lah. lying down there . looks dead. nothing much interesting. at least the crocodile-looking turtle moved and swam abit. hahaha.

ahahhaha . YES. the eight legged pig. cheyyyy! only a foetus. it must have died prematurely ler. mutated pig found in china!! ahhhhhh!!!beware of mutated porkchops!!

2 headed snakee! bahh. i was expecting to see a live one. but dah. disappointed. saw a dead one. tmd. but still its 5 rmb nia. chill.


ahahha. in case ure wondering how that lap-cheong from mei zhen xiang is made. where that lapcheong u eat in nus bazaars come from. muahahaha. thats how lap cheongs are made. hahaha. interesting but haha. i dunnoe if i dare eat them. its by the road side btw.i can just swipe a pile of shit over it and still. nobody noes and happily eats them in the nus forum. wooohooo :))

this is how an old shanghai house looks like. i successfully 'stole' a pic from this house with doors open. basic furniture. only chairs. "i dont see any beds and thus assume they sleep on ground or 草席s".and everything's very very basic.



a typical market they have in the village. thats really how basic things can get :)


and hohohoh. i make a good photographer too! who needs a dslr man. u just need to take more photos . gain more experiences taking photos. finding correct angles. noeing how to maximise space ( i learn that during the "presentation skills" workshop at work ). things will turn out as nice even with a canon ixus. wooohooo :)) suck it laobeng. LOL


seeing the living conditions of rural shanghai makes me realise how fortunate we are to be born in singapore.
whats all the shit about singapore being a fucked up country and talks about migrating to "cooler" places like aussie.america.canada.
and try living like an angmor.
i think i heard it somewhere about speaking angmor with a slang being something really cool and desirable while speaking chinese makes u 老土 and orbit.
and i think tts bullshit.
假老外。the people here call them. and yes. i dont have too good feelings about such pple.

whats all the complain about the ever-warm weather in singapore while pple in rural areas are sleeping off grassmats during winters that go as low as -5 degrees.
there should be someday singaporeans.

if u think old ah peks in singapore are suffering coz they got no home and have to sleep at playgrounds or voiddecks.
take a quick look at china. even developed places like shanghai.
beggers with deformed limbs sit on the streets in the middle of heavy snow with no winterwear. crawling from place to palce and begging for money.
seeing such things saddens me alot and definitely made me cherish things i have around me so much more than before.
