holaholahola!
zyy's back from nanjing and he realises he has like seriously tonnes of pictures to upload.
463 pictures in all.
i have never photowhored so much in my life can.
463 divide by 2 = 242
242 divide by 24 = 10
its basically 10 photos an hour lah.
*including sleep time.
and i think i have quite abit of backlogged pictures which i have not posted.
hahah.
nanjing was fun, except that it was much colder than shanghai.
temperature drops to arnd -8 at night and most of us.
wearing what we wear in shanghai. cudnt really tahan lah.
but well.
its always the company that counts.
hanging out with people from the same batch.
monkeying around with weihan and bryan simply rocked us all. :)))
they are so gonna be my ideal travelling partners.
budget here and there just to see and travel more.
eating biscuits as we drink.
crossing roads like ah tiong.
hahaha.
it was really fun with them around.
and ahahha. sorry ah.
i was really damn tired for the first night can symphony-ed for a while :D
the nanjing massacre monument's a place worth going.
not for the gruesome skeletal remains that you see.
not for the nice structures at the monument.
but for the experience of war.
experiencing how war's like makes us think a lil more about peace and how fortunate we are. :)
yuppps.
saddens us all.
yes.
even the bunch of crazy monkeys as we stepped into the monument.
going thru the exhibits.
watching videos on rape and execution.
well. apparently some of us simply felt.
"ewwwwww.so gross." and the story ends there.
but when u think a lil more.
its more than simply the gruesome factor that the monument's all about.
its about appreciating peace and condemning war.
maybe the UN should make all country leaders visit such a place before they actually step up.
yes, u obama/clinton.
i seriously cant imagine another world war in the near future.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
and yes.
i would be so interested to visit an gulf war monument if there's even one seriously.
anyone knows whether iraq has such a monument?
:))
allright.pictures pictures n more pictures! :))

and oooo. here i am off to nanjing.nanjing's pretty well known for its massacre.
a freaking count of 300,000 people died in the span of 6 weeks.and thats around 1 person killed every 12 seconds. Prof zyy will give a brief introduction now about the nanjing massacre.the japanese came.raided china. and took over nanjing, the then-capital of china.the japanese ignored international war treaties on how to treat POWs.disarmed soldiers were killed.kids drowned. families broken.the old massacred and women raped.nightmare sustained for 6 weeks as the japanese went on a killing spree.yupps. thats what the massacre's all about :) and ohhh. the pictures.if u think that the rabbit at bottom right is a pet. im sorry to disappoint. thats dinner for ah tiongs. ~.~

nanjing street. big gongs.rou chuans and woowww. i so seriously like this shit. 芙蓉饼.hahah. u cant really find this in shanghai/singapore though. its like popiah but wrapped with alottttttt of hao liaos. at a cost of 80 cents sgd :).yummmmmmy.

a visit to 中山岭, named after sun yat sen ler. thats whhere we have one whole mountain named after him ler . where his remains are. yuppps.would be a much better place to visit during spring when u have the plum flowers blossoming. a month too early : ))

and we have zyy at it again.repeating his feat of continuous shots like what he did on the great wall of china. canon ixus continuous shot function roxxoe. and this is proof that he actually climbed up the flight of steps and did not simply take a cable car up to the peak. roar.

more pics on zhong shan ling. :))

ive always wanted to try those jackie chan balls. u noe those u get into a air blown ball and u run around like a lab hamster? hahah. yesssssssssss. zyy had his first shot at the jc-balls at the pond in zhongshanling. hahaha .funn.. but damn tiring. it sux being a hamster. hahah :))

zyy conquers 灵谷寺. haha.act seh pictures and amos trying to lick a stone turtle. i always wonder how pple long ago manage to carve out such statues and all. its amazing they are able to do it without machineries like what we have today.

ling gu si ends with a 9-person-squeezed-into-a-van ride back to hotel :)))

well. the last day was about zyy.weihan and bryan.our adventures down sunyatsen's villa. carrefour.nanjing1912 before settling down at the coffeebeanery.(fake coffeebean). sorry lah. we budget. no starbucks.and ahahhah.security guards caught napping.with a chinese summon we got there.

more fun at the president's place.with zyy trying to grab the china flag and bryan acting like a reindeer.
