i was just browsing through the november issue of the ridge.
and i stumbled upon this article.
WO-Man ( We Own Man ) by claire chan.
the article title is irritating enuff.

men dont owe women anything for christ sake.
maybe my mum for bringing me up but nothing much more than that.
there are certain stuffs within the article which i find pretty disturbing.
i cant help but say.

she started off stating.
"I have had enough of male drivers naturally attributing bad driving to females. Why should females be looked upon with a jaundiced eye."

im referring to the point where she grumbled about pple complain about women being bad drivers. reckless drivers.
comeon.
look through the statistics by LTA.
the statistics by TP department.
it is .
PROVEN. SHOWN. STATED.
accident rate in women is much higher den men.
what else do you have to say miss claire.
sometimes its just a state of fact and you call that looking down on u women and believing u girlies shud hide in the kitchen and cook all day.
and fyi.
guys can cook better den women nowadays.
just look at the gender of all the top chefs in the world.

i do recognize the fact that.
there are some women who are damn steady drivers.
refusing to compromise safety at all cost.
and they have my utmost respect.
and at the same time.
there are reckless male drivers.
speeding down the highway at close to 160kmph in broad daylight.
thinking its the coolest thing on earth to sift in and outta lanes.
overtaking cars and all kinda engine revving.
(im not referring to myself here :D )
and i get so irritated by them on the streets in fact.
YES.
and we men honor that fact too. fyi.

Well miss claire.
you have been ranting paragraphs and paragraphs about women breaking free from male oppression and taking on primary roles.
aint that being chauvinistic too?
toppling of male hierarchy as a solution to all this problems.
aint that such a thought of female chauvinism? :)
u condemn chauvinism in ur article.
and ure promoting it at the same time.
i seriously do not get what point u are trying to drive across.
chauvinism. regardless of whether its male chauvvie or female chauvvie should not be a trait to follow and promote.

men do feel for women in middle east countries too.
facing male-oppression and raped women given the death sentence because they have been stripped of their chastity and thus, useless.

i believe women have never been undermined in the eyes of singaporeans and especially in more developed countries where education has played a major part in teaching whats right and whats wrong.
we, men do respect women too.
just as much as we respect respectable men.
ho ching is a powerful women whom everyone respect.
michael faey is despised by all in singapore.
britney spears ought to be shot for her crotch revealing attention grabbing ways for de-valuing women.
steve jobs respected for what he had done to apple over the years.
so whats the crapppp about toppling male hierarchy and fighting for rights and all?
there shouldnt be a fine line stating
men should be respected but women should not.
we respect someone respectable and despise someone who doesnt deserve our respect.
regardless of race. language and religion. and yups. gender.

i believe i aint a male chauvinistic pig but i do despise female chauvinistic sows.
it is always remarkable for people like shirin ebadi to defend women rights.
but i believe this shouldnt come to the extent of toppling men all over and yah.
owning them.
have some respect for men here please.
everyone. every race. every gender ought to have equality of human rights. social rights and all.and one to even have thoughts of toppling over the others and rule the world should be shot dead.
having absolute control over women was never an agenda in men i noe.
women are meant to be loved too :)
